World Geography HS Course

Exploros World Geography HS is a complete curriculum, containing 12 units with a total of 130 lessons. The course is intended for live classroom instruction in device-enabled high school classrooms.

Students use social media skills to actively engage in learning broadly about geography and maps and then investigate regions around the globe. In each geographic unit, students explore topics including geography, economy, government, history and its influence, and culture.

Introduction to Physical and Human Geography
An introduction to geography and maps. Students review continents and oceans, and are introduced to the concept of human geography.

Russia and the Republics
A review of Russian history, society, and culture, government and economy. Students also investigate the history of the Silk Road.

World Geography Government and Economics

Government and Economic Systems
A dedicated unit on citizenship, democracy, totalitarianism, human rights abuses, technology, and more.

World Geography North Africa and the Middle East

Southwest Asia and North Africa
An investigation of North Africa, Arabia and Iraq, Israel, Turkey, and Afghanistan. Students explore geography, history, economics, society, the origins of Judaism and Islam, and more.

The United States, Canada, and Mexico
An investigation into the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Students study history, government, economics, society, and culture.

Sub-Saharan Africa
A study of West and Central, then Southern and Eastern Africa. Students actively investigate history and its influence, economy and more.

Central America
An exploration of Belize, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, and Panama. Students study geography, history, and more.

World Geography South and Southeast Asia

South Asia
An exploration of South Asia, with a focus on India. Students also study Hinduism and Buddhism in addition to core topics.

South America
A study of the geographic areas of South America, with an emphasis on Brazil. Students explore history and its influence, government, economics, and society and culture.

East and Southeast Asia
An examination of China, Japan, Korea, and neighboring Southeast Asia countries. Students also study ancient and recent Chinese history and China's ethnic groups.

Europe
A thorough exploration of Europe. Students study history, from ancient times through the EU, and explore culture, economics, and more.

World Geography Australia and the Pacific

Australia and Oceania
A review of Australia, Oceania, and Antartica. Students examine geography, history, society, culture, and economics.
