The Pack contains associated resources for the learning experience, typically in the form of articles and videos. There is a teacher Pack (with only teacher information) and a student Pack (which contains only student information). As a teacher, you can toggle between both to see everything.
Here are the teacher pack items for Writing Argumentative Text:
Overview In this experience, students compose an argumentative text. First they choose a topic and then they develop it through the writing process from prewriting, to drafting, to revising and editing. They apply the characteristics and organizational structure of argumentative texts to their own writing. At the end of the experience, students will self-evaluate their work based on a rubric. You may review the rubric with them at any point during this experience. Objectives Duration
There have probably been many times in your life when you have needed to convince others to agree with a position you hold or something you want to do. In this experience, you are going to move through the writing process to create an argumentative text, stating your claim and supporting it with evidence. You will brainstorm, draft, revise, and publish an argumentative text.
Objectives
Think of a time you tried to convince someone to do something for you. How did you go about trying to get them to do whatever it was?
